Use of Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
When someone visits CCDC websites we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. Where we collect personally identifiable information through our website, we are upfront about this, and this is only in optional situations (i.e. when you complete a form to register for an event, newsletter, or piece of content). We make it clear when we collect personal information and explain what we intend to do with it. See the section below on HubSpot Cookies for more information.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics sets a number of cookies (default is 4) in order to evaluate your use of the site and compile reports for us on activity on the site. Google stores the information collected by the cookie on servers in the United States. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
For more information on the cookies set by Google Analytics please go to: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/11397207?hl=en
Google has also created its own opt-out plugin which you can get from: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The CCDC provides a mechanism to opt-in or out of storing Google Analytics cookies when first visiting our website. This will create a session-based cookie (which will expire when you close your browser) containing a single “true” or “false” value, reflecting your choice.
Session Cookies
The CCDC website will also set session cookies, such as ASP.Net_SessionId. These cookies are essential for certain features of our website, such as forms, to operate properly. They are deleted when you close your browser.
Social Media Cookies
CCDC also provides some links to social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter. These links will set cookies that may subsequently be used by other sites to target advertising. Cookies are only set when clicking the options to like or tweet a CCDC webpage.
HubSpot Cookies
We use HubSpot to store contact information when you have opted in — for example by signing up for our events, newsletter, or white papers. HubSpot will place a cookie on your device and we use this to observe your subsequent interactions with our website. You can find more information here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/privacy-and-consent/what-cookies-does-hubspot-set-in-a-visitor-s-browser
Microsoft Clarity
This website uses Microsoft Clarity to understand usage trends and improve design. By using the website Clarity cookies will be placed on your device. Clarity’s cookies send Microsoft anonymous information about website visitors. For example we use this to understand what % of visitors have clicked one link over another; but cannot see who those individuals are.
